Project “United World in Diversity”
In United World in Diversity, Ward Schepman creates one artwork for each of the world’s 196 countries. For every piece, he begins by exploring the country in depth — its culture, stories, people, nature, and symbolism. He then selects a piece of music from that country, playing it on repeat while painting so the rhythm and emotion can flow directly into the work.
Whenever possible, Ward incorporates natural materials from the country itself, creating a true physical and energetic connection to the place. The project is proudly supported by Natural Earth Paint, known for their fully natural and sustainable pigments.
With United World in Diversity, Ward offers a tribute to the beauty of our differences. A world becoming one through art.

Project “For Nout”
For Nout is an intimate and deeply personal art project by Ward Schepman, created in honor of his identical twin brother, Nout, who passed away on 19 August 2024. Nout’s favorite number was 33, a number he cherished for its meaning as a master number.
To celebrate his life and their unbreakable bond, Ward is creating 33 paintings, each one a tribute to Nout’s spirit, energy, and presence. For every piece, Ward paints while listening to one of their favorite songs — always on repeat — allowing the music and shared memories to guide each brushstroke.
For Nout is not just a series of artworks, but an act of love, remembrance, and connection that continues beyond time.

Project “A Million Miles Away”
A Million Miles Away is a 12-piece mini-series by Ward Schepman, created from the raw and aching space left by the loss of his identical twin brother, Nout. Each painting reflects a different facet of the distance he now feels a distance not measured in geography, but in grief, longing, and love that has nowhere to go.
Through layered textures, movement, and emotional color fields, Ward gives form to the pain of missing someone who once felt impossibly close. The series becomes a visual echo of twinship: inseparable in memory, yet a million miles apart in reality.
